ннда.. новый сайт назгула мне как-то больше понравился.. я уже смотрю, там товарищ экстремал отметился в гостевушке) гы гы.. с ошибочками пишете, товарисч.. ну, да лана... может тоже отмечусь там тоже, попозжей)) надо попробовать повторно этому пареньку из назгула написать, хотя он наверно опять, сцуко, не ответит... я ж ему уже в том году писала на мыло, указанное в контактах, пропиарила ему радейку ПС))) ну типа написала, что их музло крутится в россии на пиратской фм радиостанции))) Эм.. вообще должны они ПС бабло отстегивать за пиар))

ошибочки.. ну инглиш у Вас прихрамывает местами.. а вообще я не думаю, что твое послание в гостевухе послужит пиаром сайта радейки, который кстати более чем скромный...

Вот прикольно будет, если вместо альбома в том же стиле будет какая-нить электронная готика, к примеру))))

Свежее интевью с Nazgul от декабря 2008, читаем!

1. Hail Nazgul! It´s a big honor for us to interview you. From the start I want to ask you about your opinion about your Cult status you have gained with just one album.

Hail, the honor is our! Wow! We didn’t know about our Cult status! We think it’s a great thing to be considered a Cult band but sincerely we don’t know if we deserve this appellative…anyway thank you to consider us so, but we only know that a lot of people in the world like our music and it’s the only interesting thing for us …the breath of our horns!

2. And now we´ll take it straight from your beginnings when you started as a band. Was it just coincidence or you were friends? What was you vision then? Did you have clear vision of your concepts? Or you weren’t experienced enough to realize all aspects you wished?

Zakrathor and Thornset above all, are two brothers before to be Nazgul and in our opinion this is our force. At the beginning we decided to be a duo and write a concept album about fantasy themes, before record “Omne est paratum” we hadn’t a clear vision of Elfmuth and Elfmorul but we wanted orcs and elves involved in epic battles in a fantasy land.

3. You have worked on “Omne est paratum” for 2 years. Two songs were the outcome with which you showed your future direction. How was the demo accepted by public?

“Omne est paratum” is been a great surprise also for us…in a short time a lot of fanzines noted us: the interviews began to arrive in our postal box (the emails were yet for us only a great sorcery!) and with them the first compilation and at the end a contract for a label.

4. I guess that you were satisfied with the first recording. You have changed title and few bits of “Eccidium” and put it on you debut album and Ante bellum was re-worked completely and you also changed title here. You have found your unique style. I don´t know too much bands which are sounding like you. Maybe I hear some similarity with Bal-sagoth, who use similar pompous keyboard parts. Do you feel somehow influenced by them or you came to this style of playing by yourselves?

Bal-Sagoth? Our music is very different from that of B-S, even if the themes are similar. Nazgul were born only by our hearts!

5. Those 14 breathtaking songs are so powerful mainly because of the keyboard parts and Latin vocals. Quite nice accomplishment for a newbie band. Do you had any experiences with playing before? How old were you then?

Zakrathor played the drums in another rock band while me in that time finished to play (bass guitar) in a funny gothic band. We began to play together when I was 20 years old and he 19.



6. I won´t exaggerate if I say that “De Expugnatione Elfmuth” is one of the greatest treasures in Black metal scene. I can´t even describe the atmosphere you managed to create with keys. Since the first song I feel like I am in middle ages. You have learned playing keys by yourself or you have been forced by your parents? Such skills needs a lot of effort. I guess that there is also a person to which you look upon.

Thank you to consider De Expugnatione Elfmuth”as one of the greatest treasures in Black metal scene! Zakrathor began to play himself keys only when he decided to create Nazgul, before that moment he played drums and…flutes!

7. Another aspect of the music are lyrics and vocals. Combination of agonizing shrieks with grim growls just underlines the exclusivity of Latin lyrics. Have you intended to extricate yourselves from the rest of the bands or you just didn´t want to use English or your home language?

We play Orkish Black Metal…what other kind of language if not Latin?

8. Can you speak Latin? Or you let someone to translate your lyrics?

The Latin is a very difficult language…We’ve studied latin at school but we prefer to write our lyrics in Italian and later let the teachers translate them for us. However, since we’ve studied at school, we can easily adapt it to our songs

9. Majority of your listeners do not know Latin. So can you enlighten us with which story „De Expugnatione Elfmuth“ deals with? And what will be the new album about?

For this reason we inserted the lyrics translation inside D.E.E. and so we’ll do in the next album. However in the first album we sing about an imaginary land (Elfmuth) theatre of an epic battle among Elves and Orcs and finished with the uncontested evil triumph! But in the second album the orcs must fight against Dark Elves and Dwarfs…to defend Elfmuth (now Elfmorul in orkish langauge)!

10. Now, after 6 years you are preparing new album. You have submitted few informations about it on your myspace. Well, I´m anxious as a small kid to hear it, so I want to know something more about you personally. Is the music going to have similar middle-ages feel? You also mentioned bigger portion of orchestral elements in music. What can we expect from it?

If DEE brought you in a fantasy world, with Elfmorul you’ll LIVE the orkish world! It’s characterized by super fast black metal parts and parts that sound like the logical soundtrack for an excursion in a land where fantastic creatures lived! We’ll have also a real choir to make things even more Epic!

11. Are you still playing as a duo or you have added a new members? As a 2-piece band you can´t play live which is quite disadvantage I guess. Don´t you regret this? I´m sure that lot of people would like to see you live.

We are and we’ll be forever a duo! We are too much jealous of our band. Perhaps in the future we’ll do concerts, but now we are concentrated only on recording session.

12. We´ll depart from music questions for now and If you won´t mind I´ll ask you a few personal questions. Can you describe what do you do in personal life? I suppose that music is not your main income.

In my personal life I work in my clinical laboratory and moreover I teach science in a college. Zakrathor instead is a sound engineer and he study at the electronic music university.

13. You affection for Middle-ages is evident not just in the music but also in your visual interpretation. Do you engage in some of the associated activities? Such as swordplay, battle-reconstructions etc? Is this your case or you amuse yourself with “normal” activities?

We essayed to participate to these games but in that time we were “too evil to play” ah ah ah! Our normal activities are: Nazgul! Beside the music I train in a kick boxing team and I love to…FISH! Zakrathor instead play play play and when finished to play he dedicates to Wii, to Cipi (his warrior parrot!), to radio commander autos and girls!



14. Many Czechs are traveling to Italy because of holidays. How do you look upon your country? Do you also enjoy sun-bathing, swimming in the sea? Or you live in inland and you don´t have a such possibilities?

Two years ago we went into your Land…Brno is a super city full of amazing girls! I live for 4-5 months of the year upon the sea and the rest in a town at 12 km to the sea! I love it and I love my island even if I don’t like its people

15. How could you describe the Italian black metal scene? It´s evolution, nowadays situation and your opinion about it? Can you name few interesting bands which deserves more attention? We know only about few Italian bands here.

In the past I followed the Italian scene and we had a lot of contacts with band like Ephel Duath, Death Dies, Evol, Abhor, Inchivatu and many others. But now I don’t care of it and I haven’t any name to propose u!

16. What about you as a fan? Do you enjoy some other bands and gigs? Which concert you attended last time? Is there a band you would like to see live? Do you consider some bands as a Icon for you?

In the past I’ve been a super fan of Iron Maiden and saw them twice in concert. With Zakrathor have seen Cradle of Filth and Satyricon. Moreover I see Tiamat, Sentenced, Amorphis, Therion. Zakrathor instead it’s been sound engineer for Cannibal Corpse, Gorgoroth, 1349, Brujeria and other bands in the latest tour in Italy. I’d like to see a concert of Manowar!

17. I think that is all I wanted to know. Now I just have to wish you success with your new album and say thanks for this interview. So maybe in future we´ll get in touch again. Last words are yours.

eXtremal greatly thanks, I'll read this with the great pleasure! But rather later (the cause of this - the bed quality of the "dial-up" interconnection, that I use to my regret...) I've got to print the text better, then read after)))) But it's kindly to know, that the band is still alive )) A couple years ago (as I remember) I've sent them a letter by e-mail, but haven't recieve any answer...

After reading, maybe, I post here a comment. But, respected comrade eXtremal, you think, that everyone on this forum knows english so well to read untranslated text? I don't think so...
